2 Cases of the stomach and the Doudenal Perforation After Swallowing the Foreign Bodies



Abstract
2 cases of the stomach and the duodenal perforation were found and treated surgically at the 3rd army hospital.
In one case, 4 pieces of the foreign body were lodged in the stomach of approximately 5 months duration afte ingestion and 2 pieces of the remainder insidiously perforated the stmoach without peritonitis.
In another case, the foreign body perforated the first portion of the duodenum with acute peritonitis about 6 hours after ingestion.
In the former, the foreign bodies gradually perforated the stomach and insidiously extended into the peritoneal cavity and the containing matters were 2 pieces of nail, 1 piece of wire, 1 piece of ampule cutter in the stomach, and 1 piece of wire in the peritoneal cavity, and 1 piece of nail in the pelviccavity after perforating the stomach.
In the latter, the foreign body perforated the first poprtion of the duodenum anteriorly with acute peritonitis, and the containing matters were 3 pieces of bamboo lodging in the stomach and 1 piece of bamboo lying semivertically on the passage vertically on the passage form the antrum of the stomach to the first portion of the duodenum which perforated duodenum.
In both cases, laperotomy and gastrotomy were done.
The postoperative recovery was good.
